By the way of the present petition the petitioner is seeking quashing of FIR No. 472/2025, registered at Police Station Chhawala, Delhi for the offences punishable under Sections 281 / 125 (a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as ‘BNS’) and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom on the basis of the settlement arrived at between the parties. 3. Issue notice. 4. The learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State. This is a digitally signed order. The petitioner and Respondent No.2/complainant are present before this Court. The injured/victim, Ms. Nirmesh, has joined the proceedings through Video Conferencing. They have been duly identified by their respective learned counsel as well as the Investigating Officer. 6. Briefly stated, the present FIR arose out of a road traffic accident which occurred on 26.11.2025, wherein the vehicle driven by the petitioner allegedly collided with the vehicle of Respondent No.2, resulting in injuries to Ms. Nirmesh. After completion of the investigation, the charge-sheet was filed before the learned Trial Court. It is submitted that a Detailed Accident Report (DAR), which was treated as a claim petition before the learned MACT, Dwarka Courts, was also amicably settled between the parties and was disposed of in terms of the settlement. Thereafter, the parties executed a Memorandum of Understanding dated 18.07.2026, resolving all their disputes arising out of the present incident. 7. On a query put by this Court, Respondent No.2, who has been duly identified by the Investigating Officer, as well as the injured/victim, Ms. Nirmesh, appearing through Video Conferencing, state that they have entered into the Memorandum of Understanding dated 18.07.2026 of their own free will, without any force, coercion or undue influence. They further state that all disputes have been amicably resolved and that they have no objection if the present FIR and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom are quashed. 8. In view of the amicable settlement arrived at between the parties, the settlement of the proceedings before the learned MACT, and the statements made by Respondent No.2 as well as the injured/victim that they have no objection to the quashing of the FIR, no useful purpose would be served by This is a digitally signed order.
