Page No.# 3/4 3. Being aggrieved by the aforesaid judgment and order, the applicant has preferred the connected writ appeal. However, as the appeal could not be instituted within the prescribed period of limitation, there is a delay of 5 days in filing the same, for which the present application has been preferred. 4. The explanation furnished by the applicant is that the certified copy of the impugned judgment and order, applied for on the date of its pronouncement, was made available on 25.06.2026. Thereafter, the Court remained closed for summer vacation from 29.06.2026 to 12.07.2026. Upon reopening, the matter was examined by the concerned officials and discussed with the learned Standing Counsel, who advised filing of a writ appeal. As the applicant is a public sector undertaking, the matter was thereafter processed at the appropriate administrative level, requisite approval was obtained from the competent authority, and the appeal was accordingly prepared and filed. It is stated that the intervening summer vacation and the time required for legal examination and completion of the administrative formalities resulted in the delay of five days. 5. Having regard to the explanation furnished, we are satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown for the delay of 5 days. Accordingly, the delay is condoned. 6. The interlocutory application stands allowed and disposed off. 7. Registry to process the connected writ appeal and list the same on 30.11.2026 under the appropriate heading.
