Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that during the year 2022, the respondents herein installed an electrical box measuring 6 feet in height and 3 feet in breadth adjacent to the petitioner’s residential building. On 23.03.2026, the said electrical box caught fire, as a result of which, the petitioner’s building got damaged. Hence, the petitioner on the very same day submitted a requisition letter, requested the respondents to relocate the electrical box to a safer and more appropriate place. Since the said representation was not considered, the petitioner is before this Court. 3. Learned standing counsel for the respondents submitted that immediately after the fire accident, the respondent officials reconstructed the electrical unit with a new one and assured that such incident would not recur in the future. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 13241 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 4. Heard both sides and also perused the materials available on record. 5. It is not in dispute that the fire accident had occurred and that the respondents have subsequently reconstructed the electrical box. The learned Standing Counsel has also assured that necessary precautions have been taken to prevent any such incidents in the future. In view of the same, if any such incident occurs again, the petitioner is at liberty to submit a fresh application seeking relocation of the electrical box to a different place. 6. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of.
