1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent/MCD to stop the illegal and unauthorised demolition of an old structure at property bearing no.1604, Outram Lines, Kingsway Camp, Delhi-110009 (hereinafter ‘subject property’), which is next to the property of the petitioner. 2. Counsel for the petitioner submits that the demolition exercise being carried out by the private respondent no.2 is causing damage to the property of the petitioner. 3. Counsel appears on behalf of the respondent/MCD and submits that no permission is required for carrying out demolition of the property. He This is a digitally signed order. W.P.(C) 12080/2026 further submits that an advisory has been issued to the owner/occupier of the subject property on 19th August, 2026. 3.1 The same is handed over in Court and is taken on record. 3.2 A copy thereof has also been given to the counsel for the petitioner. 4. In view thereof, the present writ petition is disposed of while leaving it open to the petitioner to invoke appropriate remedies available in law against any damage caused to his property on account of the demolition. 5. Needless to state, in the event the property is re-constructed/re-built, the same shall be done only after obtaining necessary permission from MCD. 6. Pending application stands disposed of. 7.
