Ms. Mamta Bisht, learned counsel for the respondent – Kumaon University. 4. Mr. Samar Malara, Advocate holding brief of Mr. Yogesh Kumar Pacholia, learned counsel for respondent-AICTE. 5. Petitioner was employed as Administrative Officer in Satyendra Chandra Guria Law College, Bazpur Road, Kashipur, District Udham Singh Nagar (respondent no. 7). According to him, Director (Administration) of the concerned College placed the petitioner under suspension vide order dated 02.10.2020 (although annexure 4 indicates the date of order as 02.10.2010). 6. In this writ petition, petitioner has challenged the suspension order and he has sought various other reliefs. In prayer ‘C’, petitioner has sought a mandamus to the Appellate Authority to take decision on his appeal. 7. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Vice-Chancellor, Kumaon University is the Appellate Authority before whom the appeal is pending. 2026:UHC:1926-DB 8. Having regard to the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court thinks that ends of justice would be met, if Appellate Authority is asked to take decision in the pending appeal. 9. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to the Vice Chancellor to take decision on the appeal of the petitioner, as per law, within eight weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order. It shall be open to the petitioner to make representation before the Management of the concerned College for release of his unpaid monetary dues. If he makes representation, the same shall be decided within three months thereafter. (Pankaj Purohit, J.)
