Sophie is present and learned counsel, Mr. Y. Humtsoe, appears for the private Respondents/Defendants in Civil Suit No. 5 of 2024, which is pending before the Court of District Judge, Wokha. 2. The present transfer petition arises out of the letter dated 15.09.2026 received from the District & Sessions Judge, Wokha recusing herself from the case due to conflict of interest. The Registry of this Court vide letter dated 18.09.2026 had written to the Registrar General, Gauhati High Court for transferring the case to the Court of Civil Judge (Junior Division), Mokokchung in the interest of justice. By letter dated 29.09.2026, the Page No.# 3/3 Registrar (Judicial), Gauhati High Court had requested the Registry of this Court to register the case as a suo moto transfer petition at Kohima Bench for consideration and to pass appropriate orders in the matter. Accordingly, this suo moto transfer case has come up for consideration today. 3. In view of the above facts and circumstances, this Court, in exercise of the powers under Section 24 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, hereby transfers Civil Suit No. 5 of 2024 from the Court of the District & Sessions Judge, Wokha, Nagaland to the Civil Judge (Junior Division), Kohima, as per the convenience of the parties. 4. The Registry is directed to transmit the case records to the Court of the Civil Judge (Junior Division), Kohima forthwith.
