The petitioner is an accused in connection with Bengabad P.S. Case No. 05 of 2026. The informant, a married lady had developed acquaintance with the petitioner and it is alleged that the petitioner had made obscene videos and on the threat of making the videos viral was trying to subjugate the informant. It has further been alleged that on 04.01.2026, when the husband of the informant was not at home, the petitioner had committed rape upon her and when she raised an alarm, the petitioner had fled away. Reading between the lines of the First Information Report reveals a different story of the informant being a consenting party to the sexual advances of the petitioner at the opportune moment as the husband of the informant was not at home. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since 16.01.2026. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Regard being had to the above, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-II-cum- Spl.
