The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Tandwa P.S. Case No. 91 of 2026. It has been alleged that 32 pieces of iron plates weighing 16 quintals were recovered from a Scorpio vehicle and several persons were apprehended. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the co-accused persons had disclosed the name of the petitioner as the person fleeing away from the place of occurrence. It has been submitted that some of the co-accused persons have been granted anticipatory bail in A.B.A. No. 2777 of 2026. It has also been submitted that the petitioner was earlier involved in two cases and in both the cases, he has been acquitted. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner. Regard being had to the facts and circumstances of the case, I am inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 2026:JHHC:16020 Accordingly, the petitioner above named is directed to surrender in the court below within four weeks and pray for bail, and in that event, he shall be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Chatra in connection with Tandwa P. S. Case No. 91 of 2026, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482 (2) of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. This application stands allowed.
