The petitioner is an accused in connection with Chainpur P.S. Case No. 03 of 2025. It has been alleged that on 06.01.2025, the son of the informant and his friend were murdered by unknown persons. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has been implicated primarily on account of being a conspirator. It has been submitted that the petitioner was in Hazaribagh jail at the time of the incident which rules out and his involvement in the commission of the offence. Learned counsel adds that several of the co- accused similarly situated has been granted bail in B.A. No. 11275 of 2025, B.A. No. 6225 of 2025. It has also been submitted that though the petitioner has got a large number of criminal antecedents, but in 17 cases, he has been acquitted. Learned A.P.P. as well as learned counsel for the informant has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the informant has primarily relied upon the antecedents of the petitioner while opposing the prayer for bail. Regard being had to fact that the petitioner seems to have been implicated primarily on account of suspicion and several similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail as noted above, the petitioner above named is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like 2026:JHHC:16053 amount each, to the satisfaction of learned SDJM, Daltonganj, Palamau in connection with Chainpur P.S.
