CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY

: Mr. Krishna Prajapati, Advocate

2/02.06.2026 Heard Mr. Krishna Prajapati, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.
The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Gola P.S. Case No. 18 of 2026.
It has been alleged that the informant was waylaid by miscreants and from his possession, cash as well as a bag containing jewellery, etc. were looted.
Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he has been implicated on the confessional statement of the co-accused Deepak Kumar. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner is an employee of NTPC North Karnpura Company under Muneshwar Navin Construction Contractor.
It has been submitted that the petitioner does not have any criminal antecedent. It has also been submitted by referring to the attendance register that the petitioner was present at his work place on the date of occurrence.
Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner.
2026:JHHC:16021
It appears from the attendance sheet that though the petitioner was said to be present at his place of work at Tandwa in Chatra, but tower location on 04.02.2026 reveals that he had remained in Gola from 16:15 to 20:41, on which date the incident had taken place. The same would be strong circumstance showing the involvement of the petitioner in commission of the offence.
Regard being had to the facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
This application stands Rejected.
