2026:JHHC:16055 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B. A. No. 4737 of 2026 --- 1. Saurabh Shekhar 2. Ajay Kumar Sinha, @ Ajay Kr. Sinha … … Petitioner(s) Versus The State of Jharkhand … … Opposite Party(s) --- CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY --- For the Petitioner(s) : Mrs. J. Mazumdar, Advocate For the Opposite Party(s) : A.P.P. --- 2/02.06.2026 Heard. Mrs. J. Mazumdar, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned A.P.P. for the State. The petitioners are an accused in connection with Cyber Crime P.S. Case No. 29 of 2025. It has been alleged that the informant was told by a caller that an FIR has been lodged against him and the CBI is investigating. The caller had asked the informant to transfer an amount of Rs.59,44,307/- to an account provided by the caller. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners merely run an N.G.O. and they are in custody since 22.05.2025. It has been submitted that the petitioner does not have any criminal antecedent. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioners. It appears that it was the petitioners who were instrumental in getting a huge amount transferred in their account. Subsequently, the amount has been transferred to the account of the other co-accused persons as submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner. Regard being had to the nature of offence, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. The same is, hereby, rejected at this stage. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J) 02.06.2026. Suman/Nandin/-
