This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to conduct election to the 4th respondent Wakf as per the proceedings of the 2nd respondent and the reminder representation dated 17.01.2026 within the time limit. 2. The case of the petitioner is that the Waqf, namely Muslim Jamath Indira Nagar Masjid Madarasa is a registered and notified Waqf, bearing Reg.No.287, coming under the supervisory control of the 1st respondent / Waqf Board under Section 32 of the Waqf Act. The election committee was completed as early as in the year 2018 and thereafter, the erstwhile Muthawalli had not taken any steps to conduct the election. In such circumstances, the petitioner earlier has sent a representation to the 1st respondent to immediately conduct election and as per the instructions of the 1st respondent, the 2nd respondent had issued a proceedings dated 04.09.2023 that the election will be conducted on 29.09.2023. Even thereafter, no steps were taken to conduct the election. The petitioner has also sent a reminder / representation dated 17.01.2026 to the 1st respondent to conduct election and the same was not considered till date and hence, the petitioner has come up with this writ petition. 3. Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the materials. 4. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.01.2026 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above directions.
