Learned High Court Government Pleader takes notice for all the respondents. 2. The prayer in the petition is to direct the respondent authorities to consider the representation dated 16.08.2022 at Annexure-E given by the petitioner for transfer and mutation effecting the revenue entries in the name of the petitioner in respect of Sy.No.7/1 of - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:9518 WP No. 4776 of 2026 Danayakanahalli village, Bichodu Hobli, Belur Taluk, Hassan District measuring 2 acres 29 guntas. It is the contention of the petitioner that the petitioner's grandfather late Sri Veerabhadra Gowda had purchased the property in question in an auction conducted by the competent authority on 10.02.1961 and the name of the petitioner's grandfather was entered in the revenue records. 3. Learned High Court Government Pleader however submits that the petitioner has not placed on record any material to substantiate the contention of the petitioner. 4. Nevertheless, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4-Tahsildar, Belur Taluk, to consider the grievance of the petitioner, verify the original grant Register, Saguvali Issue Register, Mutation Register and find out whether the claim of the petitioner is genuine. If the claim of the petitioner is found to be genuine, then the Tahsildar shall proceed to find out as to - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:9518 WP No. 4776 of 2026 who is the legal heirs of the original grantee and thereafter shall enter the name of the legal heirs of the original grantee in accordance with law. 5. On the other hand, if it is found that the claim of the petitioner is not genuine and no information is recovered in the original records, then appropriate endorsement shall be issued to the petitioner. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
