Dayal, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Spl. P.P. for the State. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Keredari P.S. Case No.41/2024. It has been alleged that some miscreants had come to the work site and had assaulted the Munshi and had also made air firing. A threat was also given to stop the work of road construction. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the letter left by the miscreants bears the name of the petitioner, hence the petitioner has been suspected to have demanded extortion money. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that one of the co-accused has been granted bail in B.A. No.11019 of 2024. The petitioner is in custody since 21.06.2025. Learned Spl. P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and has submitted that the petitioner has got criminal antecedents. However, regard being had to the fact that the petitioner has been implicated by the police on the basis of suspicion, he is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned J.M.F.C.
