2026:JHHC:15954 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 4781 of 2026 --- Sunil Kumar @ Sunil Kumar Mehta, S/o Upendra Mehta. … … Petitioner(s) Versus The State of Jharkhand … … Opposite Party(S) --- CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY --- For the Petitioner : Mr. Jitendra S. Singh, Advocate For the Opposite Party : APP --- 2/02.06.2026 Heard Mr. Jitendra S. Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Bishrampur P.S. Case No.01/2026. The daughter of the informant was suspected to have been murdered by her husband along with other family members. The dead body was later on exhumed. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that there are no eye-witnesses to the incident. Learned counsel submits that since the petitioner was in touch with Guddi Devi from whose land, the dead body was exhumed, the petitioner has been suspected to be involved in the commission of the murder. It has been submitted that one of the co-accused has been granted bail in B.A. No.2813 of 2026. The petitioner is in custody since 13.01.2026. Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Regard being had to the fact that the petitioner has been implicated primarily on account of suspicion, he is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned JMFC, Palamu at Daltonganj in connection with Bishrampur P.S. Case No.01/2026. This bail application stands allowed. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J) 02nd June, 2026. S.K.D/- Uploaded on 04.06.2026
