The petitioner is an accused in connection with Hazaribagh Vigilance P.S. Case No. 02 of 2026. The petitioner is alleged to have demanded illegal gratification from the complainant for exonerating Piyush Kumar Pandey from a case in which the petitioner was the Investigating Officer. The said demand was informed by the complainant to Piyush Kumar Pandey who refused to give bribe and a complaint was made to the ACB wherein after verification a trap was laid and the petitioner was caught red handed accepting the tainted money of Rs. 15,000/-. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since 12.03.2026. It has further been submitted that after completing the investigation ACB has submitted charge-sheet. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Regard being had to the fact that charge-sheet has already been submitted, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Add.
