Neutral Citation No. ( 2026:JHHC:15990 ) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 4843 of 2026 Bijay Kumar Bhagat @ Bijay Bhagat ... … Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand ... … Opposite Party --------- CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY --------- For the Petitioner : Mr. A.K. Kashyap, Sr. Advocate For the State : Mr. Sunil Kumar Dubey, A.P.P. --------- 02/02.06.2026 Heard Mr. A.K. Kashyap, learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State. The petitioner is an accused in connection with N.D.P.S. Case No. 03 of 2026, arising out of Deodanr P.S. Case No. 04 of 2026. The house of the petitioner was searched and Ganja, illicit liquor and materials needed for manufacturing and bottling of liquor were seized. It has been submitted by the learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner that the house belongs to Johan Pahariya and the petitioner does not have any concern with the same. Learned Senior Counsel submits that merely because the petitioner was found present in the house he has been implicated. It has been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 05.02.2026. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. It appears that it was the petitioner who was instrumental in running the illegal ganja and illicit liquor factory and considering the same, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The same is hereby rejected at this stage. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J.) Dated, the 2nd June, 2026 A. Sanga/- Uploaded on 04 /06/2026
