The petitioner has filed the present petition as a Public Interest Litigation [PIL], inter alia, praying that the respondents be directed to demolish the building falling in Survey No.57/8 at Garvebhavi Palya, Bengaluru, Karnataka, which is abutting to the metro track running from R.V.Road to Bommasandra. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:9699-DB WP No. 33863 of 2025 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has referred to the photographs annexed as Annexure 'A' to the petition. These photographs indicate existence of a building abutting the fence that cordons off the railway line. The photographs also indicate that the building has also been partially demolished. According to the petitioner the existence of a building in the immediate vicinity of the metro rail tracks poses a safety risk. 3. In view of the above, we consider it apposite to dispose of the petition by directing the respondent Nos.2 and 3 to consider the apprehension expressed by the petitioner. Needless to state that if the respondent Nos.2 and 3 are of the view that the existence of the building in question poses a safety risk, they shall take the necessary steps in accordance with law.
