2026:JHHC:15963 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B. A. No. 4798 of 2026 --- Pradip Ganjhu @ Pradeep Singh @ Pradeep Ganjhu @ Pradeep Jee … … Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand … … Opposite Party --- CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY --- For the Petitioner : Mr. Avishek Prasad, Advocate For the Opposite Party : Mr. Vishwanath Roy, Spl. P.P. --- 2/02.06.2026 Heard Mr. Avishek Prasad, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Spl. P.P. for the State. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Latehar P.S. Case No. 211 of 2024. It has been alleged that some extremists had assaulted the father of the informant resulting in his death. Submission has been advanced by learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the petitioner has been implicated primarily on account of suspicion. It has been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 03.04.2025 and one of the co-accused has been granted bail in B.A. No.6427 of 2025. Learned Spl. P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. It appears from the order dated 22.09.2025 passed in B.A. No.6427 of 2025 that mobile phone of the deceased was recovered from the possession of the present petitioner. The same being a strong circumstance, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this application is hereby rejected at this stage. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J.) 02.06.2026 Sangam
