Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court may be pleased topleased to issue an order, direction or writ, more particularly one in the nature of the Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not releasing financial assistance to a tune of Rs. 10,00,000/- (Ten Lakh Rupees Only) in favour of the petitioner under the NTR Videshi Vidhyadharana Overseas Scholarship Scheme for the application bearing No OV2019122141 dated 18.06.2019 as illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondents to release the financial assistance to a tune of Rs.10,00,000/- (Ten Lakh Rupees Only) in favour of the petitioner under the NTR Videshi Vidhyadharana Overseas Scholarship Scheme for the application bearing No OV2019122141 dated 18.06.2019 and pass IA NO: 1 OF 2026 Petition under Section 151 CPC praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, the High Court may be pleased pleased to direct the respondents to release the financial assistance to a tune of Rs.

The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of Respondents in not releasing financial assistance of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) sanctioned to the Petitioner under ‘N.T.R Videshi Vidhyadharana Overseas Scholarship Scheme’ scheme for pursuing M.Sc Advanced Product Design Engineering & Manufacturing with Professional Placement at Kingston University, United Kingdom, as illegal and arbitrary. 2. The facts leading to this case are as follows: The Petitioner had applied for financial assistance under ‘N.T.R Videshi Vidhyadharana Overseas Scholarship Scheme’ for pursuing M.Sc Advanced Product Design Engineering & Manufacturing with Professional Placement at Kingston University, United Kingdom, vide Application ID No.OV2019122141. After due verification, Respondent No.3 sanctioned Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) in favour of the Petitioner for pursuing the said course. Though, the Petitioner had completed the Course, the financial assistance as promised to the Petitioner was not disbursed. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for the Respondent No.3/Corporation submits that the application of the Petitioner would be considered and amounts would be sanctioned, if the Petitioner is within the conditions specified, for release of the amounts. 4

Considering the submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with the following directions:- (i) The Respondents are directed to examine the claim of the Petitioner within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (ii) In the event, the claim of the Petitioner is held to be in order, the Respondents are directed to release the amounts to the Petitioner within a further period of eight (08) weeks. (iii) There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Petition shall stand closed. _______________________ JUSTICE NYAPATHY VIJAY
