Roy, Advocate For the State : A.P.P. --- Order No. 02 Dated 29th May, 2026 Heard the learned counsel appearing for the respective parties. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Meharma P.S. Case No. 196 of 2025. It has been alleged that an unknown person had uploaded obscene photos and videos of the sister of the informant on Instagram and a demand of extortion money was also made. It has been submitted by the learned senior counsel for the petitioner that the victim was in a relationship with Aman Sah, who was a friend of the petitioner and who stayed together in Delhi but things took a downward slide in the relationship and in order to teach a lesson to Aman Sah, the petitioner had acted thus. It has further been submitted that the mobile number used to create the fake Instagram account is in the name of the father of the petitioner. Learned senior counsel adds that the petitioner is in custody since 01.03.2026. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Regard being had to the aforesaid facts, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Godda in connection with Meharma P.S.
