2/29.05.2026 Heard Mr. Lukesh Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.
The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Sindri P.S. Case No. 32 of 2026.
It has been alleged that the petitioner in an inebriated state committed assault upon the informant and his family members resulting in their suffering injuries. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the incident had occurred on account of trivial dispute with respect to taking of water from the tap. Learned counsel submits that members of the informant party had suffered simple injuries. It has been submitted that so far as antecedents of the petitioner is concerned, in one case, the petitioner has already been acquitted while in another case he is not named.
Learned A.P.P. for the State opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner.
Regard being had to the fact that the incident had taken place on account of a trivial dispute and the injuries suffered by the informant party have been opined to be simple in nature, I am inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
