JUSTICE S VISHWAJITH SHETTY ORAL ORDER Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned AGA on behalf of the respondent. 2. Petitioner is before this Court in this writ petition under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider his application dated 07.01.2026 seeking renewal of his saw mill license. 3. It is the case of the petitioner that he was earlier granted a saw mill license which was valid upto 31.03.2024. According to the petitioner, for certain reasons he could not file an application for renewal immediately after the expiry of his earlier license, and he has now filed an application seeking renewal of his saw mill license, on 07.01.2026 vide Annexure -A. The - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:24678 WP No. 14856 of 2026 grievance of the petitioner is that his application has not been considered till date. 4. Learned AGA submits that if some reasonable time is granted, the application of the petitioner at Annexure - A dated 07.01.2026 shall be considered by the competent authority, and an appropriate order shall be passed. Such submission is placed on record. 5. The writ petition is allowed. 6. A direction is issued to the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner at annexure - A dated 07.01.2026 for renewal of his saw mill license and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible but not later than three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
