Ali, learned Counsel for the petitioners and Mr. KK Das, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. This Court had directed the learned Additional Public Prosecutor to get the instructions from the concerned Police Station as well as from the Office of Superintendent of Police, Hojai with regard to the fact as to whether any case has been registered against the petitioners and when the matter is called up today, Mr. KK Das, learned Additional Public Prosecutor has placed the instructions send by the Officer in Charge of Jamunamukh Police Station, wherein it was stated that on verification of the Police Station records and other relevant police records, no criminal case was found against the petitioners at Jamunamukh Police Station.
