An affidavit has been filed today in Court by the alleged contemnor. From page 19 (Annexure – “E”) of the affidavit, we find that the Chairman of the Board of Councillors of Maheshtala Municipality has passed an order dated August 20, 2025, in terms of our order dated September 30, 2022, whereby we had disposed of MAT/1434/2022. Therefore, although belatedly, our order has been complied with. 2. If the petitioners/applicants are aggrieved by the order of the Chairman of the Board of Councillors of the Maheshtala Municipality, they would be at 2 liberty to challenge the same before the appropriate forum, in accordance with law. 3. CRC/16/2025 stands disposed of. Rule stands discharged. 4.
