The petitioner is an accused in connection with S.T. Case No.375 of 2025 arising out of Bhandaria P.S. Case No.67 of 2020. It has been alleged that the informant was abducted by some miscreants and a levy of Rs.1,50,000/- was demanded from him. He was threatened and assaulted and later on extortion calls were also made. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since 31.07.2025. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and submitted that the witnesses have stated about the involvement of the petitioner. He has further submitted that the petitioner has criminal antecedents. Regard being had to the period of custody undergone by the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge- III, Garhwa in connection with S.T.
