The petitioner prays for disbursal of his terminal dues by taking into consideration his enhanced educational qualification. 2. It appears that the approval of the petitioner’s enhanced qualification was not granted. The school forwarded the prayer of the petitioner to the Additional District Inspector of Schools in the year 2022 seeking post facto approval of the post graduate scale of pay of the petitioner. 3. Learned advocate representing the State respondents has obtained instruction from the Additional District Inspector of Schools, Bongaon Sub-Division, North 24 Parganas signed on 18th February, 2026 which mentions that the post graduate scale of pay has been sanctioned in favour of the petitioner with effect from 28th September, 1985 on acquiring his M. Sc. degree in Mathematics. 4. As it appears that the respondent authority has already sanctioned post facto approval to the post graduate scale of pay of the petitioner, Page 2 accordingly, the school is directed to make necessary calculation and forward the same to the District Inspector of Schools for preparation of the pension file of the petitioner. 5. The respondent authorities shall take all efforts to ensure that the pension file of the petitioner is made ready and the same is forwarded to the DPPG within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. 6. The Pension Payment Order shall be issued in favour of the petitioner latest within a period of six months from date and the money reflected therein shall be disbursed without any further delay. 7. As the petitioner retired from service on 31st August, 2021, the petitioner shall be paid his terminal dues along with simple interest of six per cent per annum calculated from the date the same fell due till the date of actual payment. 8. The writ petition stands disposed of. 9. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities. (Amrita Sinha, J.)
