--- 02/29.05.2026 Heard Mr. Ankit Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned A.P.P. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Sonaraithari P.S. Case No.13 of 2026. The petitioner and another accused were apprehended from inside the Baleno vehicle and brown sugar was recovered from their possession. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that so far as the recovered quantity of brown sugar is concerned, which is 11.65 gram, the same is an intermediate quantity. The petitioner is in custody since 23.03.2026 and though the petitioner has an antecedent, but it appears that the Baleno vehicle from where the brown sugar was recovered is registered in the name of one Sangita Devi. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Regard being had to the above, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge, Deoghar in connection with Sonaraithari P.S. Case No.13 of 2026 subject to the condition that he shall physically remain present before the learned trial Court on each and every date till the conclusion of the trial.
This application stands allowed.
