The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Rikhiya P.S. Case No. 42 of 2026. It has been alleged that in the shop of one Arjun Mahtha, a raid was conducted by the police and from his possession 2.09 grams of brown sugar was recovered. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he has been implicated on the confession of the Arjun Mahtha. It has been submitted that the petitioner does not have any criminal antecedents. Learned Spl.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner. Regard being had to the manner of implication of the petitioner, he is directed to surrender in the court below within four weeks and pray for bail, and in that event, he shall be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Deoghar in connection with Rikhiya P.S. Case No. 42 of 2026 subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482 (2) of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. This application stands allowed.
