Mr. Namman Raj Vanshi, learned advocate appears for petitioner and submits, his client's application dated 18th June, 2025 for issuance of character certificate remains pending with respondent no. 2 (the District Magistrate). He seeks direction for issuance of it. On query he submits, a criminal case is pending against his client but he is innocent. 2. Mr. Piyush Shukla, learned advocate, Standing Counsel appears on behalf of State. He submits, there has been issued Government Order (GO) dated 9th April, 2026 in line with judgment dated 28th May, 2025 of the Division Bench in Writ C no.- 718 of 2025 (Anil Kumar and others Vs. State of U.P. and others). 3. Respondent no. 2 (the District Magistrate) is directed to issue the character certificate following aforesaid GO. Petitioner will communicate certified copy of this order along with copy of his application to said respondent. The certificate be issued within two weeks of the communication. 4.
