The petitioner is an accused in connection with Pachamba P.S. Case No. 16 of 2026. During the election of the Office Bearers of Municipal Corporation, Giridih, the accused persons had fired upon the husband of the informant, who died as a result of such firing. One Sheru was also shot in his leg. The incident was executed in order to create disturbance in the polling booth. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that it was one Shivam Azad who had fired at the deceased and so far as the firing upon Sheru is concerned, the same is attributed to Harsh Srivastava. Learned counsel submits that no overtact has been alleged against the petitioner. It has been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 25.02.2026. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Regard being had to the fact that the main allegation of firing is attributed to Shivan Azad and Harsh Srivastava, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Giridih in connection with Pachamba P.S.
