JUSTICE M.I.ARUN - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:13602 WP No. 32938 of 2025 ORAL ORDER The writ petition is filed with the following prayers: "a) Issue a writ or Order or Direction in the nature of mandamus, directing the Respondents to consider the representations of Petitioner dated 27/08/2005, 13/02/2015 and 07/05/2025 vide Annexures-B, B1 and D respectively in the matter of division of Katha of the said property and issuance of katha in the name of Petitioner in respect of property bearing Old No.103/1, new No.11 situated at Hoskerehalli main road, Mysore road, Bytarayanapura ward No.41, measuring 50x40 feet forthwith in accordance with law; b) pass any other suitable order or direction as this Hon'ble Court deems fit to pass in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest and equity." 2. In short, the case of the petitioner is that the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (for short, 'the BBMP') and now the Greater Bengaluru Authority (for short, 'the GBA') have refused to issue khata in respect of the property owned by the petitioner, in spite of the petitioner submitting the necessary representation. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:13602 WP No. 32938 of 2025 3. Learned counsel for the respondents - BBMP / GBA, upon instructions, submits that objections have been received from certain third parties with regard to mutating the khata in favour of the petitioner in respect of the property claimed by him. It is further submitted that the BBMP / GBA will consider the request of the petitioner, in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders thereafter. Hence, the following: ORDER i. Respondent No.3 is hereby directed to consider the request of the petitioner in accordance with law and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of six (06) weeks from today. ii.
