INDIAN OIL CORPORATION AND OTHERS ...Respondent(s). Through: Mr. Hakeem Aman Ali, Dy. AG
CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE WASIM SADIQ NARGAL, JUDGE
ORDER 06.06.2026
1. The only grievance projected by the petitioner in the present writ petition is that the representation submitted by the petitioner before the respondents seeking restructuring/upgradation of the LPG distributorship from Gramin Vitrak to Shehri Vitrak has not been accorded due consideration.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner, after arguing for a while, submits that the petitioner would feel satisfied in case the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner placed on record along with writ petition as annexure-II within a stipulated timeframe.
3. On the asking of the Court, Mr. Hakeem Aman Ali, learned Deputy Advocate General, who has caused appearance on behalf of the respondents, is not averse to the disposal of the present writ petition in the manner proposed by learned counsel for the petitioner. He, however, submits that the representation of the petitioner shall be considered strictly in accordance with law and the rules governing the field.
4. In view of the above and with the consent of learned counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents, more particularly respondent No. 4, to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner seeking restructuring/upgradation of the LPG distributorship from Gramin Vitrak to Shehri Vitrak, strictly in accordance with law and the rules governing the field, within a period of four weeks from the date a copy of this order, along with a copy of the writ petition and annexures, is made available to the respondents.
5. In the event respondent No. 4 considers it necessary for the proper adjudication of the matter, an opportunity of hearing shall also be afforded to the petitioner. Further, if the petitioner intends to place on record any additional material or documents in support of his claim, he shall be permitted to do so before the representation is finally considered and decided.
6. Needless to say, the order so passed shall be a reasoned and speaking one and a copy thereof shall be furnished/communicated to the petitioner through registered post within a period of one week thereafter.
7. Disposed of along with all connected applications, if any.
