1. Petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs.
“10.1 That, the Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to call for the entire records pertaining to the case of the petitioner from the possession of the respondent department for its kind perusal. 10.2 That the Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue the writ of mandamus and quash the impugned promotion order dated 07.11.2025 issued by the office fo the Respondent N. 2 in the interest of justice. 10.3 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue an appropriate writ directing the respondent department to issue promotion
order afresh and promote the petitioner being eligible as per seniory-cum-fitness criterion, in the interest of justice. 10.4 That, the Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to consider the legitimate claim of the petitioner with all consequential benefits, in the furtherance of justice. 10.5 Any other relief/ reliefs, which this Hon’ble Court may think fit and proper in the
facts and circumstances of the case, with cost of the petition may also please be granted to the petitioner.”

Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner is working as Rural Agriculture Extension Officer under the Department of Agriculture and posted at Circle Bija, Block Takhatpur, District Bilaspur. Petitioner became eligible for promotion on the post of Rural Agriculture Development Officer and was also under the zone of consideration for promotion, however, at the time of initiation of meeting of departmental promotion committee, though petitioner was considered however, she was not issued order of promotion and the juniors to the petitioner were promoted on aforementioned post. Aggrieved with which petitioner submitted representation before Respondent No. 2,
3 / 3 competent authority, on 11.11.2025 which is pending consideration. He also submits that case of petitioner is also covered with the order of Hon’ble Supreme Court in State of Chhattisgarh vs. M.P. Ade and others in Special Leave to Appeal (C) No. 693/2023 dated 23.05.2025.
3. Learned State counsel submits that as the petitioner has already submitted representation before the authority, it will be considered in accordance with law.
4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties.

On due consideration of the submission of learned counsel for the respective parties, considering the grievance as raised in this writ petition that the petitioner though is eligible and under the zone of consideration for promotion has not been promoted and juniors to the petitioner have been promoted and further considering that representation submitted by petitioner is still pending consideration, I find it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition directing Respondent No. 2 to consider and take decision on the representation of petitioner on its own merits, in accordance with law, expeditiously preferably within a further period of 06 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of order passed by this Court. It is ordered accordingly. It is made clear that this court has not expressed any opinion on merits of the case.
6. Petitioner is also at liberty to submit fresh representation enclosing all additional documents which she relies upon in support of her claim, along with order of this Court to be placed before Respondent No. 2. In turn, Respondent No.2 shall also take decision on the same as observed above.
