Brief facts of the case are that the present FIR came to be registered in relation to a quarrel which took place on 26.03.2014. 6. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, in terms of the Settlement Deed dated 18.05.2026, the parties agreed to settle all their disputes for a total sum of Rs. 4,50,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs Fifty Thousand only). He submits that the balance amount of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) has been paid to Respondent No.2 today in Court itself via PhonePe bearing UTR: 399952311546. It is further submitted that, with the said payment, the terms and conditions of the settlement stand fully complied with, and nothing further remains to be paid by either party under the settlement. 7. On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 who has been identified by the IO, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise, out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 8. In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 9. Accordingly, FIR No. 143/2014, registered at Police Station Nabi Karim, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Sections 308/34 of the IPC, 1860, along with all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, is hereby quashed.
