The petitioner is an accused in connection with Baliapur P.S. Case No. 58 of 2026. It has been alleged that during the Ramnavami procession, a riot like situation had arisen and both the communities started pelting stones at each other. Some police officials had also suffered injuries. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the allegations are general and omnibus in nature. It has been submitted that one of the co-accused Md. Mustak Alam has been granted bail in BA No. 4037 of 2026. Learned counsel adds that the petitioner is in custody since 28.02.2026 and a compromise has been effected between both the communities to maintain peace and harmony. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and has submitted that the petitioner had attempted to give a sword blow upon the Officer-in-Charge, but he had a providential escape. However, considering the fact that the peace has been restored and one of the co-accused has been granted bail as noted above, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Dhanbad in connection with Baliapur P.S.
