The petitioner is an accused in connection with Special Vigilance Case No. 15 of 2017 arising out of Dhanbad P.S. Case No. 221 of 2016. Irregularities were committed in the cases related to land acquisition for the construction of Dhanbad District Ring Road. It has been submitted by the learned senior counsel for the petitioner that in the earlier case, the petitioner was granted anticipatory bail in ABA No. 1844 of 2016, subject to deposit of the compensation amount received by him and consequent to the same, the said amount had already been deposited. It has been submitted that the petitioner is being prosecuted twice for the same offence. Learned senior counsel adds that the petitioner is in custody since 05.02.2026. Learned Spl.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Regard being had to the above, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge (ACB), Dhanbad in connection with Special Vigilance Case No. 15 of 2017 arising out of Dhanbad P.S.
