Heard Mr. A. Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. M.P. Goswami, learned Additional P.P. for the State respondents.
2. Invoking section 483 BNSS, the petitioner herein is seeking regular bail in
Page No.# 2/2 connection with Baguan P.S. Case No. 58/2026 under section 61(2)/179/180 of the BNS, 2023. He was arrested on 12.07.2026.
3. The gist of the allegations in the FIR dated 12.07.2026 is that the petitioner had deposited some Rs.25,000/- in his own account and later, it was the currency was suspected to be fake/counterfeit.
4. The case diary was called for.
5. Mr. M.P. Goswami, the learned additional P.P., submits that in the meantime investigation stands completed, resulting in a charge-sheet. The learned Addl. P.P. submits that perhaps the petitioner can be directed to seek regular bail from the learned Court below.
6. Considering, the length of detention and the completion of investigation, the petitioner is hereby allowed to go on bail of Rs.40,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of CJM, Goalpara. (i) He shall be available for trial, if one commences; (ii) He shall not hamper or tamper; (iv) He shall not commit any illegal activities.
7. Violation of the bail conditions will lead to cancellation of the bail.
8. This bail application stands allowed and disposed of.
