1. The grievance of the petitioners is that their wages with effect from June 2020 till date have not been released by the respondents despite petitioners having worked with them during this period. It has been submitted that as on date of filing of the writ petition, the petitioners are working with the respondents. According to the petitioners, a representation relating to incorporation of their names in the wage list and release of all pending wages was forwarded by respondent No.5 to respondent No.4 on 16.10.2021, and thereafter vide communication dated 18.09.2025 addressed by respondent No.5 to respondent No. 4 a reminder was issued seeking release of wages in favour of petitioners.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that petitioners would feel satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to release the legitimately earned wages in their favour within a specified period and their claim regarding incorporation of names in the wage list is considered by the respondents.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondents to release the legitimately earned wages of the petitioners for the period for which they have worked with them, most expeditiously preferably within a period of two months from the date of copy of this order is made available to the respondents.
4. It is further directed that the respondents shall consider the claim of the petitioners with regard to inclusion of their names in the wage list in accordance with thes rules. In case the outstanding wages are not paid by the respondents to the petitioners within the aforesaid period, the same shall carry interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of filing of this writ petition till the date of its realization.
