NARENDRA PRASAD ORAL ORDER This writ petition is filed under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following relief: “Issue writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order, directing the respondents to pay the petitioner a sum of Rs.47,25,518/- (disburse the pension arrears and surrender leave encashment) as per endorsement dated 14.05.2024 inNo.51812:MU/REG/EST(E7).35.2023 with interest at the rate of 10% from the date of due till the date of payment within 15 days of the date of this order as per (Annexure-A).” 2. The petitioner is a retired Professor of Mangalore University. He served 25 years as a Professor in the respondent - Mangalore University. After retirement, the retirement benefit in a sum of Rs.47,25,518/- was not paid. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:8062 WP No. 29984 of 2025 Hence, the petitioner submitted representations dated 29.04.2025, 15.07.2025 and 02.09.2025 to respondent No.3, vide Annexures D, E and F, respectively. Since the respondents have not considered the same, the petitioner is before this Court. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent - University submits that, if this Court grants some reasonable time, the representations submitted by the petitioner vide Annexures D, E and F would be considered in accordance with law. 4. In view of the above, this writ petition stands disposed of directing the respondent Nos. 2 and 3 to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner dated 29.04.2025, 15.07.2025 and 02.09.2025 vide Annexures D, E and F, as expeditiously as possible, not later than three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
