The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Jamtara P.S. Case No.15 of 2026. It has been alleged that the sister of the informant was murdered in the matrimonial house for non-fulfillment of the demand of dowry. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is the brother-in-law of the deceased who stays separate from his brother. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as per the post- mortem report, the cause of death was opined to be Asphyxia due to hanging which would indicate that the sister of the informant had committed suicide. Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner. Regard being had to the aforesaid facts, I am inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the petitioner above named is directed to surrender in the court below within four weeks and pray for bail, and in that event, he shall be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jamtara, in connection with Jamtara 2026:JHHC:15433 P.S. Case No.15 of 2026, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482 (2) of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. This application stands allowed.
