2. This is an application filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, for granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner namely, Esther Soren in connection with Kharupetia P.S. Case No. 92/2026 under Sections 340(2)/ 336(3)/ 318(2)/ 316(5)/316(2) /299/199/61(2) of the BNS, r/w Section
Page No.# 2/2 98(a) of Assam Police Act, 2007.
3. The allegation against the present petitioner, who is a police officer, is that in the course of investigating a traffic accident case, the petitioner colluded with the claimant of the MACT case and engaged in a conspiracy to present and support a false version of the occurrence.
4. Pursuant to the interim protection granted by this Court, the petitioner appeared before the I/O and his statement has been recorded. Case diary, as called for, has been received.
5. Having regard to the nature of allegations as well as the aforesaid facts, the prayer for pre- arrest bail is allowed.
6. Accordingly, the interim order dated 03.09.2026 is hereby made absolute with the same terms and conditions as may be applicable as on date.
7. Anticipatory bail application stands allowed and disposed of.
