For the O.P. : Spl.P.P. --- 02/26.05.2026 Heard Mr. Jitendra Shankar Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Spl.P.P. The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected in B.A. No. 45 of 2026. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Balumath P.S. Case No.213 of 2018. It has been alleged that from the pick-up van which was registered in the name of the petitioner, 40 kg of doda was recovered. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the recovered quantity of doda is in intermediate quantity and the petitioner is in custody since 10.12.2025. One of the co-accused persons has been granted bail in B.A. No. 2227 of 2020. Learned Spl.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and submitted that the petitioner was absconding for seven years. Considering the fact that one of the co-accused has been granted bail and an intermediate quantity of doda was recovered from pick-up van of the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-I-cum-Special Judge, N.D.P.S.
