1. The present petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the
order dated 15th January, 2026, passed by this Court in W.P.(C) 774/2025, wherein, the petitioner had been directed to approach the Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate (“DM”), South East, New Delhi, by filing a fresh representation.
2. The said representation was directed to be decided by the said authority with due expedition.
3. This petition has come to be filed since the petitioner’s representation dated 21st January, 2026 has not been decided, despite the lapse of a long period of time. 4. Today, learned counsel appearing for the respondent on advance notice submits that the representation of the petitioner shall be decided by the DM, South, New Delhi, and not the DM, South East, New Delhi, on account of re-organisation.
5. He further submits that the representation of the petitioner shall be decided, within a period of three months, in accordance with law.
6. Accordingly, considering the submissions made before this Court, it is
directed that the DM, South, New Delhi, shall decide the representation of the petitioner, within a period of three months, from today.
7. In case, the aforesaid timeline is breached, and the petitioner is aggrieved by any non-compliance by the respondent, the petitioner would be at liberty to revive the present petition.
8. Noting the aforesaid, the present petition is accordingly, disposed of.
