The petitioner is an accused in connection with S. T. No. 197 of 2026 arising out of Lohsinghna P.S. Case No. 216 of 2024 corresponding to G. R. No. 2811 of 2025. It has been alleged that the husband of the informant was shot dead by unknown persons. The petitioner appears to be implicated on confession of co- accused namely, Santosh Kumar Gupta pursuant to which the petitioner had also confessed. Admittedly, there is no eye-witness to the occurrence and the petitioner is in custody since 02.09.2025.
