Das, learned Additional P.P. for the State respondents. 2. Invoking section 483 BNSS, the petitioner herein is seeking regular bail in connection with Jalukbari P.S. Case No. 298/2026, registered under sections Page No.# 2/3 303(2)/318(4) of BNS, 2023. The petitioner was arrested on 02.08.2026. The FIR was lodged by one Taslim on 31.07.2026. 3. The gist of the allegations is that while traveling in a city bus, two unknown persons, stating that they will buy a ticket for him and took away his mobile phone and later on, he came to know that transaction of Rs.99,025 was made from his account using Google Pay and a cash of Rs.40,000 was withdrawn. The stolen mobile is stated to have been recovered from the possession of the present petitioner. 4. The case diary is received. 5. Mr. Das, learned Addl. P.P. objects to the bail and submits that investigation has implicated the petitioner as well amongst others. 6. Nevertheless, the investigation has reasonably progressed and the petitioner is in custody for 52 days vis-a-vis the applicable statutory period of 60 days. 7. Considering, the length of detention and the progress of investigation, the petitioner is hereby allowed to go on bail of Rs.40,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of CJM, Kamrup (M), Guwahati. (i) He shall cooperate with remaining investigation; (ii) He shall be available for trial if one commences; (iii) He shall not hamper or tamper; (iv) He shall not commit any illegal activities. 8.
