The petitioner is an accused in connection with Dhalbhumgarh P.S. Case No. 16 of 2021 (G.R. No. 260 of 2021). The allegations reveal that the informant had received an extortion call on his mobile in which threatening was given of dire consequences, if the extortion money is not paid. Some of the co-accused persons have been granted bail in BA No. 11792 of 2021 and BA No. 7975 of 2023. The petitioner is in custody since 20.07.2021. Although it has been submitted by the learned A.P.P. that the petitioner has got several criminal antecedents, but regard being had to the period of custody undergone by the petitioner, he is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ghatshila in connection with Dhalbhumgarh P.S.
