Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. K. K. Parashar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent State. 2. This is an application filed under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, praying for the grant of bail to the petitioner, namely, Lalchan Ali, in connection with Kalgachia P.S. Case No. 64/2026 under Sections 20(b)(ii)(B) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. 3. The allegation pertains to recovery of 8.027 kgs of Ganja from the possession of the petitioner. The case has been charge-sheeted and on perusal of the materials on record, we find sufficient material against the petitioner. 4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor also submits that trial is yet to commence. 5. Having regard to the above, the prayer for bail stands rejected at this stage. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
