HCP(MD) No.425 of 2026 ORDER (Order of the Court was made by N. ANAND VENKATESH,J.) This petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to produce the body or person of the detenue, who is the daughter of the petitioner and to set her at liberty. 2. Heard the learned counsel on either side. 3. The case of the petitioner is that her daughter, Sandhya went missing from 27.02.2026 and from then on, her whereabouts were not able to be traced. A complaint was given in this regard with the first respondent and since no action was taken, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed before this Court. 4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the detenue had developed a relationship with the second respondent and had eloped with the second respondent. HCP(MD) No.425 of 2026 detenue is aged about 22 years. He further submitted that based on a complaint given by the petitioner, the same has been taken on file by the first respondent in C.S.R.No.107 of 2026. 5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to register a Girl Missing FIR. The detenue shall be traced and shall be produced before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Vadipatti. On the date of such production, the petitioner shall also be put on notice. The learned Judicial Magistrate shall record the statement of the detenue and proceed further in accordance with law. 6. This Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
