On 10.2.2026, the following order was passed: “Learned Counsel for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to Annexure ‘J’, which was filed by another grantee in the same survey number seeking phodi and durasth. This Court passed an order on 24.06.2025 granting six months time to the respondents to conclude the phodi proceedings. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:9625 WP No. 37107 of 2025 Learned Additional Government Advocate is directed to secure instructions from the respondent- Tahsildar and the jurisdictional Assistant Director of Land Records as to why phodi proceedings have not been concluded even after six months after the orders were passed by this Court. The respondent-authorities shall inform the learned Additional Government Advocate as to the time required to complete the phodi proceedings. Re-list this matter on 17.02.2026 for Preliminary Hearing.” 2. Today, the learned Additional Government Advocate submits on instructions that the total extent of land in terms of the Records is 179 acres. However, claim from various persons is to an extent of 200 and odd acres. The preliminary survey has been conducted and the survey settlement authorities may require another three months to complete the Phodi proceedings. 3. Placing the submission of the learned Additional Government Advocate on record, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4- Tahsildar and respondent No.5-Assistant Director of Land Records to complete the Phodi and Durasth proceedings in - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:9625 WP No. 37107 of 2025 respect of the petitioner herein within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
